Show AllAnnapurna circuit trekking with Tilicho lake is beautiful combination of trekking in the Annapurna region. The Tilicho Lake is located at 5200m from the sea level, which is claimed to be the lake located at the highest altitude in the world. The glacial melting from the Thorong La peak and from the Mt. Annapurna are formed into blue icy lake of Tilicho. The clear icy blue lake reflects the surrounding mountains which is so unique and beautiful. Also the Tilicho lake offers great view of Annapurna range and of an entire valley of Manang.
If you are planning Annapurna circuit trekking then we suggest to spare 3 extra days which includes the one of the best hiking option of Tilicho lake. For combining the Tilicho lake with Annapurna circuit trek doesn’t require extra preparation besides the trekking days, so why not to add this wonderful site to include on your itinerary. Tilicho lake trekking also possible to do as a tea house trekking so it is easy to arrange. The Annapurna- Tilicho lake trekking starts at Besishahar and follows the trail to Chame Pisang and Manang. From Manang it is 3 days hiking to Tilicho lake. From the Tengki, a town near from Manang, the trail heads to the west and you have to stay at Khangsar village. The next day we hike up to Tilicho base camp 4900m. And from Tilicho base camp we hike to Tilicho lake enjoy the view, explore around the lake and get back to base camp for second night. And on the 3rd night we trek down to Yak Kharka which is the regular route of Annapurna circuit. From Yak Kharka we trek to Thorong phedi, Thorong La Pass 5416m. After passing the Thorong La pass we head down to Muktinath, which is sacred pilgrimage site to Hindu people. From Muktinath 5/6 hrs trek to Jomsom. From Jomsom take a flight to Pokhara.
