Kirtipur is a small and old city located at nearly 8-km southwest of Kathmandu valley on the hilltop. Kirtipur is culturally and religiously related to be monument zones, therefore, listed as world heritage sites of Kathmandu valley, by UNESCO. Kirtipur is centre for Newari culure, customs, and way of life. Besides, this historic town has many things to see such as old shrines and temples, old Newari houses, beautiful mountain scenery, people dressed in traditional costume while working on ancient looms. All these features have made Kirtipur a special place to visit in Kathmandu valley.
