Show AllThe beautiful Langtang Valley Trek is an ideal choice for a short trek from nearby Kathmandu Valley. We make the six to seven hour drive from Kathmandu for access to Syaprubesi, a gate way for both the Langtang Valley Trek and also the Langtang Ganjala Pass- Helambu Trek. It is one of the shortest but most breathtaking trekking routes in the country of Nepal. Langtang Valley is called The Valley of Glaciers as it offers exploration of the Langtang and Lirung Glaciers. From Langtang Glacier, the valley offers stunning views of Langtang Lirung (7,246 m) Gang Chhenpo (6388m) and Naya Kang (5846m).
As the Langtang Valley Trek is the centre point for many other trekking routes in Langtang region this trek can be combined with the Langtang- Gosaikunda Trek, Langtang Ganjala pass trek, Tamang heritage trek and Langtang Helambu trek as clients’ desire.
Langtang Valley trekking begins with a day drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi, then the trek continues through rhododendron forest to Lama hotel- Langtang village and to Kyangjin Gompa, exploring the valley getting close to the glacier, then climbing up a nearby peak for amazing mountain views before returning through Thulo Syabru to Dhunche and finally driving back to Kathmandu.

Important places to see around Langtang Valley trek:
The main highlight of the Langtang valley trek is Kyanjing Gompa, oldest Buddhist temple in the Langtang region. As the Kyanjing Gompa is located near by the settlement of Kyanjing, trekkers can visit the Monastery at their leisure as our Langtang trek itinerary schedules a rest day in Kyanjing. The rest day also allows for a day hike to climb Kyanjing Ri 4,350 m, a view point where you’ll be surrounded by the Langtang ranges, or if you prefer a longer climb, Tsergo Ri 4,984 m where you can enjoy amazing views, can be reached in an eight or nine hour day hike. Another alternative is to take a couple of days Camping Trek and stay overnight at Tsergo Ri. We can organize and adjust the itinerary according to our clients’ requirements.
How to get to Langtang:
Trekkers can choose either a public bus ride or private vehicle for the six to seven hour drive from Kathmandu Valley to Syabrubensi, gate way for the Langtang Trek. Our Langtang Valley Trek costs include private vehicle transportation.
Meals and Accommodation during the trek:
There are well stocked and comfortable tea houses along the Langtang trekking route. Typically, trekking parties arrive late afternoon or early evening at a teahouse, eat dinner, stay overnight and eat breakfast before setting out in the early morning. Tea house menus offer a variety of meals and snacks, all served with a local style not found in cities. As always, the most typical local food available is Dal Bhat ( a set of steamed rice, lentil, pickles and vegetable curry).
How to organize the Langtang Trek:
The Lanagtang trek can be organized as a tea house (lodge) trek as there are well facilitated tea houses and local inns along the trek. Another popular choice is to take an organized (camping) trek, which is a great option if you want to spend overnight at Tsergo Ri for the spectacular sunset and sunrise.
Above itinerary can be customized as per your requirement.
