Makalu west east west-col trekking is one another most loved trekking trails in Nepal located in the eastern part of Nepal. It is one of the trekking package frequently organized trekking package by Nature Adventure Trekking and Expedition. Mt. Makalu (8,463 m) is the fifth highest peaks in the world. The trekking to Makalu region is protected by Makalu Barun National Park and Conservation Project established in 1992.
This is an absolute classic adventure right into the heart of the wildest Himalayas where only a few people dare to venture into. The trip makes a high mountain traverse across Barun Glacier from Makalu base camp emerging into Hinku valley and finally into the high alpine valley of Humbugs across the most challenging East Col (6100 m) and West Col (6135m). A very high and demanding yet truly spectacular route where you are treated with the best views of the 8000-ers Cho Oyo (8153m) Lhotse (8501m), Everest (8848m), Makalu (8475m) and Kangchenjunga (8586m). This is an extremely challenging trek involving a sustained period at high altitude with some very steep slopes that is only intended for people with alpine experience and good stamina.
Day 01:Upon your arrival in Kathmandu Nature Adventure Trekking & Expedition will greet at the airport & transfer to Hotel.
Day 02:Half day Sightseeing in Katmandu city with cultural tour guide and Trek Preparation day
Day 03:Kathmandu –Tumlingtar flight 45 minutes then trek starts to Khadbari 2 hrs.
Day 04:Drive by local jeep to Num village 4 hrs. Drive. (1560m)
Day 05:Num Village to Siduwa. (1500m.)
Day 06:Seduwa to Tashi Gaun (2100m.)
Day 07:Tashi Gaun to Khongma (3435m.)
Day 08:Acclimatization Day at Khongma
Day 09:Khongma to Dobaate (3375m.)
Day 10:Dobate to Yangle Kharka(3537m.)
Day 11:Yangle Kharka to Langmalee (4200m.)
Day 12:Langmalee to Makalu base camp (4870m.)
Day 13:Makalu base camp to Dhar Camp (5200m.)
Day 14:Dhar Camp to Sherpeni col high camp (5800m.)
Day 15:Rest day incase of bad weather
Day 16:Shepeni col pass (6140m.) then crosses to west col (6170m.) camp at Baruntse Base camp
Day 17:Rest Day at Baruntse base camp
Day 18:Baruntse base camp to Amphu Lapcha base camp(5527m.)
Day 19:Amphu Lapcha pass (5800m.) then trek to Chukung (4730m.)
Day 20:Rest day at chukung
Day 21:Chukung to Tengboche Monastery (3860m.)
Day 22:Tengboche Monastery to Namche Bazar(3440m.)
Day 23:Namche Bazar to Lukla(2610m.)
Day 24:Flight back to Kathmandu
Day 25:Extra day in Kathmandu incase of bad wether
Day 26:Trip end. Final departure transfer to airport
