Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201 m) Expedition is one another popular trips in Tibet. Mt. Cho Oyu is the sixth highest peaks in the world, situated at Nepal-Tibet border. This mountain is said to have first climbed by an Autrelian team comprised of Herbert Tichy, Joseph Jchler and Pasang Dawa Lam in 1854 from its north-west ridge. This peak is climbed from both Nepal and Tibet side. In 2004, Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) organized a golden jubilee ceremony with much fanfare, where over 400 climbers from different regions of the world had gathered in the ceremony. Mt. Cho Oyu expedition trip begins with short drive from Kathmandu to Zhangmu along the Kodari highway and subsequently drive to Nyalam, you will have time to acclimatize at Nyalam, once you are okey, then drive continue to Tingri and then finally drive up to Mt. Cho Oyu base camp and then acclimatize and then you will continue your journey to advanced base camp and finally have summit to Mt. Cho Oyu and get down to lower Chinese base camp and drive back to Zhangmu through Tingri and subsequently to Kathmandu.
