Show AllTsum valley trekking is wonderful valley which was unknown till few years back to outsiders. Which is located in the northern part of the country. Tsum valley trek follows the trail of Manaslu circuit up to Philim and from near by Philim the trail branches off for Tsum valley trek. Tsum valley trekking trail was explored in 2007, since then this valley has been being explored by many adventure trekkers. Tsum valley is hidden and sacred Himalayan treasures located at the northern part of the country, nestled among the Baudha Himal and Himal Chuli in the west, Ganesh Himal to the south and Sringi Himal to the north. Tsum valley is said to be the origin of of Buddhism, where, the Buddhist saint Milarepa and Buddhist Guru Padmasambhava is believed to have mediated in the caves of the valley which is popular by the name of Milarepa cave located near Burji village. Tsum valley is inhabited by Buddhist people whose origin is from Tibet so their dialect is very similar to Tibetan people. The trail to Tsum valley trekking is well built wide trail and it ascends gradually and you have to stay at Mu gompa 3700 m which is highest altitude of the trek to spend the night. So this trek is possible to do for all beginners to adventure trekkers.
The salient features of Tsum valley trekking is that you will be able to explore the ancient art and architecture, the unique Buddhist culture owned and practiced by Tibetan origin people residing in the area, unique landscapes, rocky-hill, and no doubt the range of white-mountains. Similarly, you will also have an opportunity to attempt on the high passes namely the Ngula Dhoj Hyang (5093 m) and Yamdro Pass (5326 m) and locals innocent smile and warm hospitality, all these have made Tsum valley trekking one of the special trekking route. Though the Tsum valley trekking has been well known to outsiders only short time yet this route provides basic lodges which is known as a tea house so Tsum valley trekking is possible to do as a tea house trekking as well as organized (camping trek). The tea houses along the Tsum valley have limited rooms with basic toilets and bathroom so you need to adjust with available facilites or you have to join an organized trek.Tsum valley trek requires special permit and Manaslu Conservation permit which is issued only to the government registered trekking agencies. So you must join a trekking agency to do this trek. Tsum valley trekking also can be combined with Manaslu circuit trek which avoids the same trail entry and exit.
Tsum valley trekking is possible to do even in December-January little colder the morning and night but the day time is comfortably warm. And the weather in January in Tsum valley is blue sky and less crowded with less tourists. So the Tsum valley trekking is possible to do up to Dec- Jan and it is also possible to do tea house trekking and camping trek as your choice. Day 03:Drive Kathmandu- Arughat (640m.)Driving (6-7 hrs.) and 1 hr local jeep to Sotikhola -Lodge
Day 04:Sotikhola to Khotlabesi Lodge 960m (6-7 hrs)-Lodge
Day 05:Khotlabesi to Jagat 1410m (6-7 hrs) -Lodge
Day 06:Jagat to Eklebhatti 1640m (5-6 hrs) -Lodge
Day 07:Eklebhatti to Chumling. 2363 m (6-7 hrs) -Lodge
Day 08:Chumling to Chhokangparo 3010m ( 6-7 hrs) -Lodge
Day 09:Chhokangparo to Nile 3361m ( 5-6 hrs) -Lodge
Day 10:Nile to Mu Gompa 3700m ( 3 hrs) Accommodation at Monastery
